Planning stages

So while I am in the process of rebuilding all of these different aspects of my gaming life, it unfortunately cannot happen for another few days at least. Tomorrow and the day after are going to be pretty hectic for me. But rest assured that I will make a full return!

The Summer of "SCREW YOU LIFE!"

So I broke most...okay..all of my promises about these blogs and YouTube so far this summer. Life got busy, as life does, and I wasn't prepared.

What happened was I was forced to pick up another job and I work practically 7 days a week now and whenever I'm home, other people are home too which means it's too noisy to record anything. (I need a mic upgrade asap)

Anywhoodles, I'm gonna say SCREW YOU to life which is trying to screw me over and try to come back to blogging and YouTube. ..we'll see how that goes.

Name appeal?

So I was talking with my brother yesterday and he brought up a point which I find very valid. While MythOfAchilles sounds really cool, it isn't really the best name for a gaming YouTube channel. Most, if not all gaming channels have a fun, airy quality to them that begins when you hear the name. There's Markiplier, JackSepticEye, EmSArcade, Dwarfsky, AnonyMouse and many more. Comparatively, MythOfAchilles sounds kinda harsh, more like an information channel than a gaming channel so I'm gonna be brainstorming different names that I'll change the channel to. The Blog will still be MythOfAchilles because I think it fits the blog better plus I like the name, but I am gonna be looking for a new name on YouTube. Suggestions are welcome if you have any. That's about it so I'll see you all later!

This Saturday, That Saturday. What's the difference?

Hey! Been a long time since I posted on this blog but this was too funny not to share.

If you're following my Twitter then you know I just posted this.

"My parents have been arguing about something for 24 years. I just won the argument in 24 minutes."

So here's the premise. My mom thinks that "This Saturday" and "Next Saturday" are the same thing. She thinks that they are the next Saturday on the calendar.

My dad and I are on the same side as every one else I've ever known that says "This Saturday" is the next Saturday on the calendar, and that "Next Saturday" is the Saturday after "This Saturday."

So they told me that they've been arguing about this for 24 years. As long as they've known each other. This was also the first time I've heard of this argument. So I do what any good Knapp family member would do and start debating.

Roughly 24 minutes later my mom says that she understands now.

...I'm am definitely a master debater.

....

.....Why are you laughing? I am! I'm a master debater! Ehh laugh if you want I guess.

Pageviews, giggles, and other stuff.

I opened up my blog stats after a few days (I think Thursday was the last day I was able to post anything here) and had a nice giggle. This blog is officially at 69 pageviews as I write this. (more now, since you're reading this) I know it's immature, but it still made me giggle. I find it funny! Don't judge me!

Harsh day

Today's one of those day's I don't wanna deal with people. It's also a day when it's necessary to do. So I'll power through it even though it literally hurts to talk out loud.

I love my brother

For as much of an annoying twit he can be some time, my brother just made it to number 2 on my list of favorite people ever! (For ...reasons... I have to say that my girlfriend is number 1..but James should, maybe, kinda is number 1 *cough cough* ...love you sweetie!)

The reason for this is that my brother may have found me, or actually us, a gaming desktop! From even before I started this blog, I've been gaming on my plain old laptop (It's not old, it's just "plain old") and it has been...decent is the best word to describe it. But an actual gaming desktop could make my life so much easier! Hopefully this works out!

I finally did it. Now to figure it all out.

So I finally uploaded my first video on YouTube as Myth Of Achilles! Pretty exciting stuff!

...now I just need to figure out how to make this all work while still having fun with it all. Well there's no method like trial and error!!

Wow I got a lot done

I am officially ahead of schedule. I was able to test and review a game for today, I have a post planned for tomorrow, and I'm working on my research for my post on Tuesday. This is weird. I'm never usually this good with my work. Normally it's being done the day it's supposed to be finished. And I'm not even just talking about my blog any more.

But I think I like being ahead of schedule. It feels nice. So I think I'm gonna try to stay ahead of schedule for as long as possible.

My goal for today now is to finish Tuesday's post before going to bed. If not then definitely tomorrow before the end of the day. But it's 9:26 now so I think it's definitely possible for me to get it done!

Daylight's savings time...makes this a repeat...ugh

Technically the time is 12:12am right now, but we "Spring Forward" today so that actually means that it is more like 1:12 am instead. Lovely.

Today I had a friend's birthday party to attend and it was alright. I was a bit antisocial at times but only cause there were people there that I don't get along with. At all. So instead what I did was write my Game Review for my other blog on my phone as a draft (hence why it ended up being so short) and I still had fun. I haven't really openly discussed my blogs with people other than my brother and a few select people that I am the closest to. But tonight I had people asking me what I was writing so I actually went into my blog with them and I actually think I have a handful on new people joining the party! That's super exciting for me!

So now please excuse me, I'm gonna go to sleep now, cause I have an early morning tomorrow. But I'm hoping to have something good for my gaming blog. I'm just not sure if it'll be another game review or another Five Nights timeline but about the buildings and animatronics. We'll see what I end up getting done tomorrow.

Why am I up?

So now it's 1:14am. I'm still awake. What am I doing? Instead of going to bed, I'm telling all of you. I have no idea why. Sleep sounds so good right about now. I'm totally gonna go right to sleep after I post this.

So why am I awake? Well that's a story. Which means it's story time. Although it's not really a great story so I don't care if you just skip over it completely.

Anywhoodle (see my first post on my other blog, mythofachilles.blogspot.com , for pronunciation) I'm up because I was out with friends.
I graduated from highschool last year and tonight, well last night at this point, was the opening night of my old highschool's musical so I decided to go to support all of my friends in the theatre because I am a bit of a theatre nerd.
Yes Blogspot. "Theatre" can be spelt that way. Stop telling me I'm wrong. And the same with "spelt." I'm sorry I like the British versions of the words more.
Any way, the musical was amazing. The show was "A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum," and it was hilarious. I was afraid that the show would suck since our school had a new teacher/director leading the musical this year but it seems to have done well. Not as well as it probably would have with the old teacher/director, but it certainly worked.
Then after the show was over, (probably around 11 or 11:30) I stuck around to go backstage and congratulate all of my friends. So I ended up leaving the school around midnight. But I was invited to go to the dinner, which is a tradition at my school (and in most school) theatre program to celebrate a good show night. I hung out there for a good while then finally went home. So that's why I'm up at, now 1:26am.

Time for a change..should make life interesting

So I just finished my first game analysis (I don't have a clever name for them yet) and I had a lot of fun doing it. All in all it took me two to three hours to complete, what with looking up all that proof and tiring myself out with logics, but it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about the story of Five Nights at Freddy's.

I definitely think I would do another in-depth analysis of a game like that. It was so interesting. I just hope that people like it as much as they do the game reviews, even though the game reviews aren't going anywhere. I'd just like to expand into more than just Game Reviews as I've said when I put out the call for my reader's gaming stories. And while those haven't been appearing yet, I think game analysis would be a great road to go down.

Such a letdown

Have you ever had plans that you were really looking forward to that just fall through and then you're so disappointed? Yeah, it happens to me all the time. Actually it happened to me today.

I was planning on playing and reviewing this awesome looking game for my other blog, mythofachilles.blogspot.com , called Warframe.

It looked so awesome! It was pretty much space ninja aliens. What could be cooler?! But when I loaded it up on my current computer, my computer pretty much had a seizure. It couldn't handle the awesomeness I guess. Oh well, what can you do?

...Well I guess you could go on a murderous rampage, but quite frankly I'm too lazy for that. So instead I'll just save that game for a later date.

Schedule SNAFU

So, as I have not stated before (maybe. Quite honestly I forget.) I am a college student full time. I also have a part time job working at a public library. Obviously this leaves my schedule very restricted. Hell, even without counting the library job my schedule is very restricted. Yet my parents feel they can tell me I should be looking for a second job. I don't think so! I don't want to become one of those people that ends up having a schedule so full that they have absolutely no time for themselves again. Not even that, but I just don't want to feel that stressed again.

This past fall I had even more classes, I still had the library job, and I was working with a landscaping crew to make extra money. I had something every day, and usually back to back with less than a half hour break in between any of them. And I was dying inside. There was so much stress that I was having trouble sleeping, and even when I would catch some sleep, I'd wake up feeling like I hadn't slept at all. I was an absolute wreck and I am not doing that again. Ever.

Quite honestly, I don't really care about the money. Money is nice, but feeling nice is better. So I kept the library job since landscaping is kind of seasonal and now I feel so much better. But my parents just want me to make more money.

Don't get the wrong idea, I love my parents, but sometimes they can just be so frustrating. Especially when they won't stop telling me I need to make more money.

So if there's a lesson I'd want to give you, it's this..don't do something because someone tells you to. Do something because you want to. And also put how you feel first. It's better to be feeling great and living moderately than to be rolling in money, but feeling like absolute crap.

More snow...

I'm really starting to get sick of snow. How about we all band together and form an army to go kill all the snow so we don't have to deal with it anymore?

Every day is a hard schedule

It's hard to be creative and try to put stupid jokes in posts every day. I haven't even been doing it a week and I lost it on a day. But I'll power on and hopefully it'll get easier to do this sort of thing!

Evening/Night Classes

If/when you're in college, I really recommend avoiding evening and night classes at all costs. They are just really annoying and tiresome. Granted, some people have full time day jobs so they can't really go at any other time. But if you have a choice, then I really recommend not taking any classes that start after 4pm. Maybe 6pm. But it's up to you really. I just know I'll be avoiding them in the future.

Money..

Why is it so hard as a college student to save money? On paper it seems like it'd be easy. "Financial aid takes a lot of the cost of college and there's nothing else I need to pay for regularly so the rest of my money goes to me." That's what it seems like it should be. Then why can I not seem to ever have more than $200 in the bank? Especially when I want at least $700 to get a good gaming desktop? ...I dunno. It's just so fun!! (SARCASM)

It snowed today. I do not know how I feel about this.

What is the Truth?

Hey guys, MythOfAchilles here to speak about the truth behind the myth. I figured the title was a clever play on my name.

...You don't? You think it's cheesy? Well it probably is a little, but I like it.

Any way here's the Truth behind the Myth. I'm just gonna come here to talk about my life or any weird random thoughts I have and save the other blog specifically for gaming. I won't always say much but I'll probably have at least a little bit to say every day. Looking forward to coming here to rant. Hopefully I don't bore you all half to death (Unless you're already dead because the monster grabbed you)
